<<<<HUGS>>>>  Bless your heart - of course, you're afraid!  You're taking another risk, and risk is always scary!  We are so comfortable with the "known devil," as my mother used to say, than the unknown.

As the post previous to yours stated, "...still waters run deep," and that is 100% accurate.  Mad, passionate encounters are emotional (and, physical) poison.  It may seem wonderous, but it quickly turns sour.  So, let things go as they go.  Don't be disappointed if you aren't full-out crazy about this guy, at first.  Try to avoid forcing a relationship via physical attraction - the important ingredients are honesty, safety, integrity, and so forth.
