Re: Colonic for a desperate kid?

I realize that the family is desperate to find a solution to this problem.

Please proceed cautiously.

Remember that everyone your speak to has there own biases and agendas. Keep doing your "homework". Remember that just because someone has written an article stating categorically that something is a fact. They may be wrong.

The most recent medical examples...Hormone Replacement Therapy.

Have you met with a pedatric dietician?(The doctor can recommend one) Create a restricted careful diet. It would be a big help if the whole family participated(at least partially). A single dieter in a household of others flaunting restricted food is a receipe for failure.

Speak to the school. Explain the problem. Make sure that all her teachers are "on board". Whenever the child needs to leave the class to use the bathroom, that she is allowed to do so in a completely supportive way.

As far as a colonic is concerned. Discuss with her pediatrician. Also, have mom or dad have one first while she observes.

Good Luck.
