I have been looking and attempting to find the source for that arceology dig in Ecuador but havent had any success yet. I am hoping some others also saw the information and can share the source.

However just because the investigators said these peoples lived mostly on honey doenst mean it is true. This culture was approx a thousand years ago, so theres a lot of guessng involved.

We are very similar to insects and all creatures with regard to our organisims need for protein building and energy production. If you study body chemistry you find that our systems breakdown carbohydrates into sugars, so as to use them. On a cellular level we live on sugars/glucose ect ( thats why we give glucose IVs to the very ill), the only drawback is that our systems were set up to extract it and if we only take in Sugar our other systems can become affected by production of insulin and or by disuse, mainly the eliminative system, but it is worth knowing this as some try juice diets not realising the important role fiber plays in keeping certain systems functioning well. ( This is not considering for discusion eating large or constant amounts of simple sugars and how the insulin itself and its production swings stress the bodies systems.)

No burn out from simple carbohydrate eating. Thats the modern day, sugar blues, myth.
