Re: Fruit Diet
Yes it is a real change.
You may have seen the fruit forum here but it is not often busy.
Try reading Arnold Ehret or VIktorus Kulvinskas or Dr Christopher,MH's 108 pages is also very good, to get an idea of what the general approach is with mucusless or mucuslean diets . If you do the mucusless diet, which is not as exclusive as fruitarian, with some fasting you might not feel the need to evan use UT unles youare trying to achieve something particular. One thing is untill we see eating as a strictly fueling up of the body we will usually overeat and not a lot changes since we revert to previous habits.
So it's not like when we are eating stricly fruit, which I am at present, we have conventional meals. It's more like eating 3 or 4 oranges in the AM , the same with a half of avo perhaps at noon or later if time permits. Usually eating only twice a day rarely in the evening, perhaps honey or juice or tea, which can be so envigorating that they feel like a meal. Once you get used to being not driven by hunger and start ignoring it at times and especailly not "going for the bait, but going for the fuel" your conventional dietetic life changes. But it is so mentally oriented that the mucus less or lean is usually far easier for long periods.
My son ,28,eats fruit exclusivly 5 days a week with semi altenating days of veg mucus lean . He has been on this for over 6 years. I go back and forth, don't really care so much and relate most eating to how regular I am and how my consitution is acting. Yeah we are on the thin side. Chubby people worry about us but most say, how do you keep so trim, and I say dont make food your god/drive/goal.
We look for all the unusual fruits and we have 6 different fruit tress so its often that when one ceases production another starts. We just went thru our figs and now it's oriental persimmon time and they are like jelly .
I use UT when I am getting ill, with a day or two of fruit before ingestion begins and especially if undertaking a retreat. The mind gets so clear and there is no hunger w all the aminos being recycled, ahh.
Enough. Arnold Ehret has recipies and an awesome story too.
