Re: please help me identify....PHOTOS

Pete,
I'm sorry to say that it looks to me as if you might have Morgellons, otherwise known as the "fiber disease". Some of those pictures clearly had fibers in them, and there are varied forms/stages in which the Morgellons "parasite" progresses. Unfortunately, Morgellons has an affinity apparently for the central nervous system tissue, as well as brain tissue, and can clearly create brain fog. There are lists of the whole constellation of symptoms, but some are: chronic fatigue, brain and neurologic disorders, including bipolar; decreased visual acuity; scalp lesions and other lesions in the body that sometimes can take up to a year to heal; scratching, biting, crawling sensations underneath the skin, more at night than day; lesions emitting a fluid plastic-like secretion that covers sores; parasites being emitted from the nasal passages, ears, other body orifices and in more advanced cases, just from the skin itself; thinning hair and bald spots (not like male pattern baldness though). To find out more you can google Morgellons, but there are also Support Forums to help, if you do establish that it is Morgellons that you're suffering from. Best of luck to you, and take good care.... there are people who feel they're cured, and others whose symptoms were devastating but are now under control.

One more point: I know your pictures also clearly showed insects. There are many who believe that insects are a vector for Morgellons, so the fact that you have insects is not inconsistent with Morgellons -- they can exist side by side and often do, especially bedbugs or collembia (sp?).
