Hi lhyz,

My coated tongue is weird...it's sometimes coated white...but it's more heavily coated at the back and the coating isn't across the whole back of the tongue. Rather, it's in "blotches" if that makes any sense. I will have to look into the tongue scraper. I think the oil pulling is helping somewhat. And yes, I suppose my vision is blurry at times. At the moment, I'm just doing the Clarkia parasite cleanse (cloves, Wormwood , Black-Walnut ) and I eat pumpkin seeds and take garlic pills. I was seeing some pretty funky looking stuff come out for awhile and experienced bad flu-like symptoms for a couple days, along with a very plugged up nose for awhile there, but this has all improved.

As for the diet...I am working on making it better still, and it's certainly far from perfect!! Basically, I eat salad daily with romaine lettuce, olive oil, cucmumber and sometimes carrots (although I don't think you're supposed to eat carrots if you have candida??). Everyday I make "smoothies" out of greens, and fruits such as apples, kiwi, rasberries, strawberries or pineapple (I've read conflicting reports of whether it's okay to eat fruit if you have candida). I also make cucumber juice and drink it. I try to eat a lot of raw vegetables. I eat brown rice and snack on almonds and pumpkin seeds. I usually eat avocado every day. I've cut out baked goods (which has been SO hard for me and I must admit I'll still eat half a muffin every once in awhile). I've also cut out dairy. I still eat chicken (free range), fish (usually salmon), and also steak on occasion. I'm living with my mom at the moment and she'll sometimes make pasta for dinner, so I've been guilty of eating that sometimes. I only drink water (sometimes with grapefruit squeezed in) and tea (green tea, honeybush, peppermint, chamomile). I also try not to drink anything for 30 minutes before I eat, or an hour afterwards, although I'm not always consistent with this. Please let me know what else I can do!

I have a question for anyone reading this...is oil pulling a "band-aid solution" in the sense that it's helping to pull out the toxins which are really being created by some other underlying cause? Or does it actually help to treat the underlying cause (ie. liver congestion)?

Also, is there a way to gradually improve liver function rather than doing a liver cleanse? Can you take a tablespoon of olive oil with lemon/grapefuit juice and a tablespoon of Epsom Salts in water before bed on daily basis? Will this help at all?

Thanks everyone!
