I didn't consume any red meat for about 6 months.
Well, a friend of mine invited me over one night and he had prepared steaks for us.
Out of politeness I ate it, and really felt good. I needed the extra protein then, as I was an athlete. But thanks to medically prescribed drugs, I now battle hypothyroid, and don't have the stamina drive that i did before.
I have, however, continued incorporating red meat into my diet, And I feel better, in general. With careful attention, I've noticed some intollerances for wheat and soy. I also have to stay away from all cow milk products! These are the things that throw my health into a tailspin.
