As far as I'm concerned, we NEED this bacteria to train our system and to keep it in check (or so I've observed). That is why I would consider it a mistake to live in a totally antiseptic 'stasis', until some potion or med can be devised that will immunize us from every single pathogen [and variations/mutations] in the environment.

For that reason, I don't restrict myself from eating whatever I'd need, following some strict -yet basic- hygiene rules, because while antisepsis is THE goal, as it is now it wouldn't be practical to maintain antisepsis when an incoming infection will later prove to be strikingly aggressive towards an "untrained" immune system.

A thought.
