I feel that it's better to be able to build without requiring techno machinery if possible :-). This is my personal preference. Others may decide differently, and I figure each of us has his/her own good reasons for wanting to do what we want to do..

The CalEarth method just feels so *alive* to me!

I am going to re-post on the subject of building at the top of the forum later on today (Time permitting), since I don't want this thread to roll off the page and get lost in the shuffle..
