Yeah, the beds at my grandparents' house had straw bale inside, and it felt wonderful despite the way one straw might poke out of the cover once in a while he he. Straw bale cover on the bed prevents the bed bugs as well the molds. (the beds had as well the springs, the old way made springs, big ones and over that covered first with the same fabric used for sacks where you get grains, then the strawbale, then covered again with the same fabric and then the usual fabric used to soften the harshness of the previous fabric)
