When I was 14, living in Puerto Rico, I saw a sign lying down in a ditch, in my backyard (military housing). I was new there. I walked (barefoot of course) and upon picking up the sign it read "Schistomyasis bilarsia (something like that) Do not touch the water in this ditch". My dad said not to worry about it, and I didn't. I played in the rainforest of PR, and never did worry about shisto.

I haven't thought of it for years, but since I've been considering the humaworm cleanse (I don't jump into everything nowadays, unlike my younger self lol) I've been reading and when I saw the word "schisto" in your post, it sparked a memory.

That was over 30 years ago. Surely schisto (which I know nothing about) would long since been out of my system. Do YOU know anything about it? Why do you think you have it? Can you tell (reassure me) that it would have cycled out of my system ages ago?

I know this is an older post, so you might not get this, but if you do, I'd love to hear your input.
