Re: Can I vent?

Yeah, that was the line that made me think of my prior post. I had a boyfriend that was cheating, and the fool left love letters out so that I could find them. This fool eventually became my first husband. Boy, I don't think I had self esteem for years....

I remember the day I moved out from him. He was so mad at me, even though he wanted me to leave. It was strange behavior. He was very volatile that day, destroying some of my stuff, and throwing my clothes out on the front yard. I'm sure the neighbors got a really good show. I don't think they even realize how smitten they are with the "control" of another, and even when they want that person to leave, it is giving up control. We enable them to have this. I don't know if I worded that well, hope you know what I mean.

I want to leave you with this little story. I had to move by myself also (even big furniture). So, I spent all day Saturday moving (he was missing). When he came home and found that I hadn't completely moved out, he went into a huge rage. So I went to my new place, for the first time, and didn't even know how to up the heat on the water heater. So I had to take a cold shower. And I didn't have all of my stuff, because he stopped me in the middle. He also took my key from me. Somehow, that just made me so mad.

So the next morning, very early, I went over there to get my stuff. Low and behold, a woman I know, had her car parking in our driveway...! Well, that really did it for me. The cold shower, the car, the Woman...I was mad. So I banged on the front door. And then proceeded to start banging on the windows. I was screaming for my stuff. I could hear them in the house whispering and walking on the hardwood floor! I went around to the back, and started banging on the sliding glass door. Right behind me was the Snapper Lawn Mower. I picked that up, and swung it around, and it crashed right through the glass door. I must have had so much adrenaline rushing through me. I don't think I could ever do that again!

Well I ran like hell. I ran so fast, I ran right past my car and down the street. I got a block away, and realized I had to get my car. So I ran back, jumped in, and took off. For the rest of the day, I was so scared he would show up. When he didn't, that Monday morning, I went over, got in the front door, and took possession of my stuff. In 24 hours, I was no longer scared of him. But he did look a bit scared of me!! I must have looked like a crazy person. LOL!

Six months later he came crying to me that he wanted me back. I went over to the house, and he, a girlfriend, and I were drinking shots of Tequila. I don't know what I was doing. So they took me to a Mexican restaurant, and I felt sick, and drunk. I went out to the street, in front of a big glass window that everyone in the restaurant could see out of. He came out, arms open, looking very remorseful, full of love. I projectile vomited on him big time. I think what came out was more than Tequila, I was on my way to being cured. They do not change, I'm now sure of it.

Then, to top off the story. Last I saw of him was a mutual friends party, about two years later. He had a girlfriend. Very mousy, conservative, and older than he. He was always so vain, it was weird. He actually came up to me to tell me that her ex husband used to beat her, and could I believe it? Oh My God, he actually said this to me! Total, and complete denial.

Anyway, thought I'd leave you with these stories. Hang in there. Please check back.

Molly
