Just a small suggestion if you don't mind. Please don't act any differently. Status quo. You might be feeling more empowered, but if you start to say things, and act differently, the ending might be very unpleasant. If he gets wind of your intentions, bad things may happen...do you know what I mean?

Does he at all have access to your computer? Does he know where you go and what you post, and what your ID might be? People can corner themselves and leave big clues towards the end. It's human nature not to want to change, even though you do want it so badly. So they set themselves up.
