Re: Communism vs. Capitalism

I am convinced "one" reason why communism fails is because there is no private ownership of land. Individual owners can take care of property far better than a government can. You take care of it because you don't want its value to deteriorate. Imagine growing your crops and having to turn what you harvest to the government. Where is the incentive?

Another reason why communism isn't successful is because a communist government plays the role of a higher power.

I am left to think that not every capitalist government serves its populace with their best interests in mind. You can't say capitalism fails because of a systematic structure. It is up to individuals holding power to be as moral and ethical as possible. I don't believe there is any system that can legislate morality.
