Re: Day 17 of a 40+ day water fast

Hi ya'!
I am doing a 15 (or I hope) day Water Fast and can't seem to get away from the hungry feeling as well, but I am managing and doing great.
I am in my 2nd day and haven't had a headache (knock on wood :) ) or anything yet.
I also can't sem to stay away from any info I can get my hands on about this (water fasting). I just typed in Water Fasting and metabolism and it gave me many things to read. By the way, I typed it in on my search engine.
Anyways......
I have a slow metabolism, I think, but I went to the Dr. before I started and he said that my metabolism was fine yet a little sluggish but not much. Huh!!!

Does the metabolism slow down while fasting and if so then does it speed back up afterwards? If it does how long would it take for the metabolism to get back to normal or is it just ruined afterwards?

I have heard many times that when you fast, no matter how careful you are, you will gain it all back if not more.
That totally sucks if it's true.

Does anyone have any extra guidance on this subject?
I don't want to gain the weight back. Yes, I understand that when you stop the fast you gain back like 5lbs. do to the water weight. But what about fat?

Oh geeze, I am so lost. I almost want to quit, but I sooo want to stay on it for the remainder of the fast. I have 13 days left and I'm on fire at the moment.
I'm doing awesome, but haven't shed a pound yet.
Would that be because it's only been two days and the two days are not over yet.

I think you all are doing fantastic and congrats on all of your sucessful days.
You all rock!
Warm regards,
Ivana :)
