Your question about your partner is not necessarily easily answered with a yes/no answer. The reason for this is that we all have some yeast in our systems. That is natural. However, when the yeast takes over, there is a problem with keeping it in check. That is why the diet is very important. Sure, your partner could be 'giving it back to you,' but if your body is not overloaded, it wouldn't be a problem. The diet is a great place to start.
I noticed that you spoke of being on a lot of Antibiotics . You see, the antiboitics kill off the good bacteria that helps control the yeast levels in your body. Without the good bacteria, it will be hard to keep yeast under control. It would probably be a good idea to invest in probiotics, which will get your intestinal levels of these bacteria back where they should be. With controling your diet...staying away from fermented foods (alcohol), sugar, wheat products, etc., and with repopulating your intestines with good yeast-killing bacteria, you should be able to get this under control.
