What you describe is exactly what happened to me too. Only with mine, I had what I know was initially a terrible bladder infection followed by a yeast infection or two followed by several years of what I thought were UTI infections but the doctors could not find enough bacteria to suggest infection. That did not keep them from prescribing Antibiotic after antibiotic, though. I think I tried 5 or 6 Antibiotics and at one time took Antibiotics for about four months straight.

After all of this, I was told I had vulvodynia and I still do have this condition. It causes pain during sexual intercourse. Only years later did I find out I had interstitial cystitis too. My gynocologist thought some of the pain I attributed to the vulvodynia was probably IC and she was right... she had found blood in my urine repeatedly.

I'm absolutely convinced this has something to do with yeast or fungus too. Garlic does help me a little. Right now my tongue is coated yellowish-white which the man at the health food store told me was a sign of a fungal infection. Also, I have recurring folliculitis caused by yeast/fungus that causes my skin to break out and I use Nizoral for this.

I notice when one thing flares, the other things do too. They seem to go together.
