Re: just checking in...

Hi Sky! I've been wondering about you, sorry to hear things aren't going so well. I have had to deal with Clinical Depression myself, its an awful way to live. Part of you knows its not stemming from reality, but the chemical imbalance sure can alter your reality. Its funny you should mention Celexra. I was trying to remember the name of that drug. I took it back in 2001. Its worked OK for a while, but later it seemed to take control, like I was detached from the world and perceiving through the drug. I don't know if that makes any sense, but its the best I can describe it. There is an OTC supplement called 5-HTP that is supposed to balance serotonin levels, I have had some luck with that, but keep forgetting to take it every day. I got the Natrol Brand at Walmart. You might want to try this before going on prescription antidepressants. I have been prescribed three different antidepressants and while they have all made me feel normal at first, I felt like I was a slave to them.
I really let the stress of my job and other factors get to me lately. I went back to my old emotional eating patterns and have put on some weight. My wake up call came this week when I became horribly bloated and my blood pressure shot up. Wednesday and Thursday I ate very lightly and used a cleansing drink similar to The Master Cleanse (but better tasting). Yesterday I fasted on the drink, apple juice and water, then did a liver flush. Liver Flushing has lowered my BP in the past. Today I am about 15 pound lighter in weight (I have ankles again!!) and my BP dropped from 188/117 last night to 143/100 about fifteen minutes ago. I am not ready to water fast, but will continue with the cleansing drink and perhaps a little fruit to keep my energy up at work. I plan on asking for a week off work within the next few weeks, maybe I can do a short Water Fast then when I can really relax.
Poor Mike has had a lot of pain and health problems. I miss him here, his advice, wit, wisdom and faith. Still, I pray he is getting relief from his pain, both physical and emotional, and will come back soon.
