why juice your fruits/veggies instead of eating them whole?

Hi,
I'm sort of new to this forum and have lots of questions. At the moment I eat lots of fruits and veggies, raw if possible, along with lots of raw garlic, spirulina, some flax oil, fish, brown rice, grain bread, a little organic milk (in my coffee or tea), and lots of water. But I've noticed that people here seem to favor taking their veggies and fruits as juices instead of whole. May I ask why? I don't own a juicer & don't have the money to buy one (and can't easily get one second hand here in Spain). I'd much rather just chew my veggies and fruits than have to invest a lot of money in a juicer...does the juicing process alter their digestability, somehow?

thanks!
seeker
