Check out Paavo Airola's tiny but fully packed book, How to Keep Slim, Healthy and Young with Juice Fasting. He recommends lots more reading, and there is lots of good stuff on the net.

If you are concerned about weight loss, stick to short cleanses. Paavo likes fasting one day per week, three per month, and ten days twice a year.

From all the posts I have read from folks low in weight (not my problem), they do lose weight during a fast, not as quickly as those of us with more to lose... but do gain it back quickly when they break.

You might want to do a five day cleanse. Start with 2-3 days pre-cleanse diet of fruits and veggies (fruits am, veggies pm). Then, juice fast for five days and break with a cleansing, rebuilding diet including quality protein like chicken breast or fresh fish...

I'd save the good oils for the pre and post cleanse diets. However, you might like to add spirulina for extra protein, as I suggested to new poster Maverick above.
