If you get a good, natural yogurt with a strong culture, yogurt can be wonderful. I always include it with my morning fruit, either plain or whizzed in the blender as a smoothie.
Read the label! If it has sugar, guar gum etc., keep looking for a better brand. Where are you? I used to be in the Pac. NW, and Nancy's was the ultimate. Now I live in Mexico, and it's a struggle to find anything without Sugar etc. etc. BUT I have found a couple!
