Re: Ok then that is not about being a man per se
Ah yes, there is both
The emotional reality for my father (who was very bright and had hadlots of therapy- son of a doctor)
was he had a fairly good bead on who he was-he just didn't like it!
Here's how he'd have thrived:
To do his painting and sculpting
Not have the responsibilities of a family and wife
Lots of girlfrinds -He loved women- prefered them in everyinstance to men EXCEPT racing sailboats
Here's what he had
A beautful ocen front home (bills)
A wife who was devoted to him but had no "higher" education
Children who require attention, and patience
No art
He was the County Tax Collector (Politics)
He was well aware of it all
It was not he lacked the emotional honesty
It was hthat he did not have the courage or the creativity to meld his real loves with the lifestyle of the 1960's
He was not self expressed- in a positive way
But he did express emotions-that was why he liked the company of women!
So for your situation maybe it was as you say but it was subtly different for mine
There was emotional honesty, but a fair amount of pain
PS Hug you!
