Well, depends
Hi,
Ooh, good question.
Is this about caring, or is it about respect?
Sounds like you have some needs left waiting on the runway, and would like to start caring for those needs in the circle of your family. Nothing wrong with that.
In fact, I'd welcome more details about what your experience is like.
Sometimes if teenagers look like they don't care, it can be totally innocent and well-meaning, but they haven't learned how to show caring in a way that resonates with you. Or they have some life issue going on that takes all their attention and concern, and they don't know how to verbalize it. Or something. My first guess is that they care a TON. They can care about you DEEPLY the whole time they are trailing cracker crumbs all over the house and playing obnoxious music and spraying their hair blue. But they might not know how to show that in the specific ways that matter to you.
So you're welcome to talk it over, if that seems productive.
