Hoping this gives you some hope. I have indoor cats. One of my indoor cats ran outside last winter was gone for exactly one week. I was out there every night calling her and she never came. I left some food and a warm little crate with some blankets and ended up finding her...she came back to the food and the blnket with her scent on it. Maybe something like this will work for you? Don't give up just yet.

Your boyfriend? Well, don't expect things to change overnight. I would not count on him for too much these days... Take care of yourself. Help yourself through this situation and try to stay strong....then instead of finding your missing cat, find that missing boyfriend a replacement!! I am kidding partly, but listen to your inner voice- it is never wrong. You know the answers, you just need to look at it clearly.
