I'm glad this came up when it did because even though I have been taking pharmaceutical grade fish oil for the past several months, it encouraged me to look a bit deeper, and I realized that while I am taking Omega 3's, I'm not taking enough. It seems that 200-400mg EPA and 100-300 DHA is needed for maintenance, but that I need 3 times that to actually treat any chronic condition (I guess my dry legs would fall into that category). I need to get a bit more EPA's and now I'm going back to my first pharmaceutical grade fish oil, and adding a good flax oil. That should cover all the bases, and get my skin back in check. I also discovered that light patches on the cheeks is a sign of Omega 3 deficiency, and my daughter has had that all summer. So, I guess it's more 3's for both of us!
