Re: coconut oil causes sandpaper hands

I've been in Montana --DRY -- for 6 years now. The first 3 years my fingers and thumbs cracked all winter -- painful -- Then I started grinding flax seed in a coffee grinder and mixing with maple syurp, baking at very low temperature till semi-crunchy. My goal was to eat 3-4 tablespooons of flax seed a day. So eat about 1/4 of mixture, using 1 cup of flax to 1/4 cup of maple syurp. Chopped nuts could be added. Anyway, for two years I have not have cracked fingers, etc. But, as old habits die, I quit doing it and am now paying the price for it. And yes, my legs weren't dry and itchy anymore either.

Hope it works for you. Of course you could just grind and eat on salads, or put in smoothies.
