If the taste is not from protein shake itself it is probably from the lite coconut milk or the brand of coconut oil. My first guess would be the lite coconut milk. You do not need lite though! :) It incurs more processing and actually makes it less healthy. They could have possibly added Sugar or preservatives to give it an odd taste.

If it is not that your oil could be the cause and I would try a different brand. A good brand of VIRGIN coconut oil has a light coconut taste and goes down smoothly. Catch in the throat or smoky taste has to do with the processing, catch in the throat being too much moisture in the oil and smoky flavor usually from dried copra. Neither are desirable. With Tropical Traditions Phippine oil I experienced the catch in throat, but not with WFN's.

As to the speed bumps, it sounds like a settling in of toxins. The coconut oil will slowly help detoxify, but I would speed up the process with Skin Brushing. I completely eliminated cellutlite on my backside and thighs as well as thinned my waist by doing this everyday. The investment is minimal and it does not take much time at all!
