Chris, Kefir is a cultured milk product. It is similar to yogurt, but it supposed to have a complete range of probiotic bacteria. Also, the culturing process is supposed to take care of some of the problems milk can cause. Kefir can be used plain, mixed into a smoothie (what I want to do), or made into a cream cheese like product. I am a Kefir newbie. Robbie and Bone, who frequently post on the Bowel Cleanse Forum , got me interested in Kefir. I have read up on commercial probiotics like Primal Defense, but I would rather take a homemade, natural approach. I hope by using kefir plus some pysllium I can contiue to get an effective cleanse, while learning a healthy, but not overly restricted diet.
Thanks for your kind words. I hope you will come back and let us know your progress.
