Re: Even Now...God is Love

If you read the NT {New Testament} You'll notice that God doesn't inflict pain, illness, calamity etc on His followers. It was the devil who came to steal kill and destroy. Through Jesus Christ we are saved - that means God has the freedom to love us, and to care for us. In the OT {Old Testament} God reacted the way he did sometime being violent, or causing calamity because of the law, and the restrictions that the law caused between man and God.
Please don't let you confuse satan's works as God. Remember he poses as an angel of light....when he is true darkness.
