Re: to: 12321

Hi!

I guess the claim of someone being a born again christian and if that claim is not true, that makes the person becomes a liar depends on the defination. Anyone can claim to be a christian or otherwise but definatly the works of the person if they are not according to the claim, then the claim may not be true. But truely, Bush is not a born again christian! He is a christian no doubt but not a born again christian. This is a relative conclusion for that is what the bible says 1Cor 2:10-16. Bush has many good and many bad qualites but born again Christian, No!. To become a born again Christian, one should be able to turn the other cheek if slapped on one cheek without any effort. It is Jesus Christ's very rightiousness that should respond from within a person. I havn't seen any politician being a born again christian. I think Ab lincon is a good christian, Carter is another but really the title of born again christian is too outlandish by any standards.

Again, the problem is not with Pres. Bush or someone else but your understanding of a born again christian? A person who dies for tha sake of another, who loves unconditionally, who's love for christ would shun all wealth and be able to the flow of christ's rightiousness. So, the case here was unnessarly Bush but could be any other politician. If you could attest it to a politician I think no other christian can be excluded form the list of being a born again christian. Love for politics could be the cause for your rationale but one factor is not sufficient enough.
Generally, love for a politician draws out some unreasonable anger and devotion to the person. I am not against MR. Bush but your understanding of a born again christian should only be substantiated by the holy spirit as it reveals to you. Not by someone claiming! No christian would like to be excluded. But I think this discussion is unnessary and not in the right spirit. I apolize for any misunderstanding for I do not want to cause you to think I have belittled you or any of your favorite politician. I respect your opinion and think you have your own reasons to believe something about a person on your own choice. If you take someone's claim because he or she said it than it is your way of seeing things. But I know that a born again christian can only be reaveled by the Holy spirit

Thank you.
