Re:OK

Wow! Some pretty heavy stuff 22508! There is one question you ask that I think is fantastic and have no idea how to answer! That is the one regarding Satan's fall from heaven and how it could happen in a perfect world. If someone else can answer this please post! I'll ask my minister in a few days and post it here.

For the other questions I have some views which might help.

Satan and his 'angels' are no longer angels! They are fallen (demons) and thus there are no angels in hell.

As to time for repentance for angels (demons, that is), i'd imagine they are on a completely different playing field than we are. Our mentality is not theirs and hence mabye they can not experience repentance or responsibility (that was completely speculative by the way! No bible support what so ever!).

As with God and condemning people to hell:
Satan and we are responsible for our going to hell (not God). Death is not of God or His world, it is of satan's. So yes, you're right! God would have aeons to convince us, let us tire of corruption, etc; except, noticing this, satan has set the clocks against us. We have to make a decision now! He hopes to distract us for 80 years, but he doesnt always succeed. Time and space are his weapons. And that is where we come in!

Our resposibility for our fate lies within every choice we make; to follow Jesus, or follow Satan. We all atleast choose Satan for a time, turning our backs on our Father after spitting in His face (as it were!). Hence we all choose to follow Satan to the depths of hell. God's condemnation isnt a forced, unwilling proceedings (until we're in hell!), it is our choice and His respect of that choice (no matter how angry he may be with it). Why do we have this choice to make in the first place? Again, because our ancestors choose it to be this way, that is Adam and Eve and the forbidden fruit ( and whatever they may have represented). We choose knowledge of good and evil and we got it. And now because we know (even the first time), because we knew we were turing away from good, we are held accountable. God judges our choices because he loves us, even those he sends to hell; because he would rather fulfil their ultimate choice through faith in satan. People who go to hell will never and would never have turned to God; that's why they are there; they are separated from that in which they refuse to accept.

"Have faith and all things are possible."

True. But true, unadulterated faith has only been seen once in this world (post-Eden that is!). For Him all things were possible; but for us - as Jesus said - if we even have a mustard seed of faith within us we could command a fig (I think it was a fig?!?) to uproot and plant itself in the sea. Most of us dont even have this. Our lack of faith in Jesus (and hence faith in satan) is what limits our posibilities.

What do you think??
