I think it's sad that the "self-made man" archetype is passing from this country. I don't think college is necessarily the way to go anymore, and public school is just a babysitting ground for the most part. :( A lot of kids need it sure, but ... if you're going to be your own boss, you have to know a lot about people and life that they never teach you in school! And it seems that once you go to college, especially if you're saddled with student loans like I am, you tend to think only of your next job, next paycheck, never on how to create your own company and be independent.
