What a wonderful post! Thank you so much - it really injects the right amount of level-headedness and humor.

Of course, now I have this image of myself, stumbling along a squishy muddy creekbed, tossing back gin and tonics while eating M&M's off the ground. Hilarious!

I agree to this approach. I love my pets dearly and couldn't imagine getting rid of them. I also think that if we let fear rule us we will end up dangling from cables in trees wearing HAZMAT suits squirting hand sanitizer on passers by.

Which reminds me of another rant of mine - people, is hand sanitizer not the biggest joke of the millenium? Just like Antibiotics , it breeds grounds for ever more virulent germs. OK, end of rant.
