Re: To Old Pilot...thanks Lapis

Lapis,
Thanks for answering, The pain I have most of the time is mainly the sternum area and then slightly over to the right side under my rib cage. It hurts mainly if I breathe deep, but sometimes if I press near my sternum with my hand it doesn’t hurt when I take a deep breath. I would have to say the pain is between a dull and sharp pain. Most of the time (before or during) I will have a very full feeling in my stomach like gas. Most of the time I have the sore right shoulder blade. When I do a flush it almost always helps eliminate the pain.

The diet I normally eat since the Gallstones is very simple. BREAKFAST, I eat one of these: one bowel of Oatmeal, two pieces of toast and jelly, toast and apple sauce. LUNCH: usually a wholegrain wheat bread with a slice of turkey and sometimes a slice of dried beef (neither have any fat to speak of). I usually eat an apple. SUPPER: usually brown rice with some kind of light sauce normally Italian, (Ragu), Mexican salsa, or Soy (light). I often eat a potato, if I eat meat it’s nearly always turkey or chicken (white). I don’t drink Cokes anymore, and seldom soft drinks. I recently started using rice milk, instead of nonfat milk on cereal. As you can see, my food is very limited, mostly because my budget is too.
One other thing, my wife died of breastcancer a couple years ago, and during the last month of taking care of her I lost about 30 pounds, not to mention my mind and heart. I think that (weight loss and grief) may have had a lot to do with me getting these gallstones...however I did have kidney stones many years ago, so I wasn’t in perfect health, but pretty close. Normally, I never get sick, not even a cold.

I may not be able to do everything because of money limits, but I am interested in what you have to say. One thing I’m curious about, You mentioned a colon cleanse. It seems like those ES clean about everything out of the colon that can come out! Well, I think that covers it. Thanks for your time, it is appreciated.
