Bevpirt, many thanks for your support. I spoke to Julia and she told me that Coptis stimulates bile flow and bile loosens intestinal cloggings which move slowly through the colon.She thinks that I have a lot of intestinal clogging because the sudden surge in bile has loosened enough to cause a partial blockage, which slows all the stool down and causes constipation.It makes sense. She told me to reduce the dose to a quarter of a teaspoon.That also makes sense because I don't weigh much.

I agree about heavy metal toxicity and candida.I'm positive my husband has candida and his mouth is full of metal.But we're slowly having all his dental metal removed starting with the mercury.
BTW my constipation is better due to rhubarb and turnips and lots and lots of skipping!!!
