Yes, I have a friend who did the Atkins diet and his cholesterol went down. Mine went from 225 to 400 and I have the documented lab tests to prove it! And I did not eat more than 5 to 10 carbs PER DAY. I couldn't or my body would not stay in ketosis and I used the keto stix just to make sure. EVERYONE IS NOT THE SAME. And it is a shame that the Atkins people are so careless to write a book and not have people go to their doctor and be monitored. If it kills some people then it needs monitoring.
