I did some reading up on Colosan...it is similar to another product that I had tried years ago. I have a couple of problems with it...first of all it is similar in laxative action to Epsom Salts ...so repeated/frequent use poses a threat of dehydration due to the loss of body fluids. Also, bacteria in the colon are anaerobic...both the 'bad' and the 'good'. The oxygen will kill pathogenic bacteria....but it will also kill the beneficial bacteria. (When I used a similar product years ago I experienced quite a bad case of die-off from candida...although this company's literature claims this is not a problem!) I also think that another benefit of using a fiber cleanse is the additional bulk that is added to the colon which help to strengthen the bowel muscle so that elimination is improved...from the cleanse itself and also from stronger peristalsis.
If you have any further questions about this...please start a new thread so that I won't miss your post.
