Re: Adkins diet bad for liver? Bogus!!!!

I know this is an old message but I have to respond because the content of Davee's post is so thoroughly bogus.

I have done Atkins for years now - since 1995. It is the only diet which has stabilized a lifelong problem with hypoglycemia. In addition, unlike the ther members of my family, I am the only one who has not become diabetic.

I would love to see the citations for all of Dr Atkins' supposed problems, Davee :-) , particularly his passing out at lectures, etc. :-) Do you have any? Oh dear - of course you don't.

I am so, so, so very tired of people trying to force everyone into their own comfortable little category of health and trying to steamroll everyone into the American corporate culture way of eating - or, even worse, the New Age corporate culture way of eating.

We all have differing genetics and biochemical needs. If Atkins doesn't work for you, hey, great! But please, stop pawning off all the classic corporate smears. Too many people following the Atkins way of eating are living proof that these lies are just that: lies. Tweet
