this is not an accurate picture but you can get the gist of it. the first picture is of the tightly bonded water molecule. the hydrogen atoms are close together. in the second picture, the hydrogen atoms should be closer to the oxygen atom, but it is showing the tight bond of the hydrogen atoms broken and pulled away from each other. i know this makes it easier to break the bond between the oxygen and hydrogen(less energy needed), but how this molecule reacts differently in biology, i dont know.
