Muscle Recovery Time


When I weight train, particularly if I didn't train for a while (say a month) then my soreness (lactic acid) goes like this: day after, a little sore, two days after, VERY SORE (can barely walk if it's legs), three days after, somewhat sore, four days after, recovered. Is that too long a recovery time? Am I overtraining? Do I have a problem in using oxygen? Comments?
