I have the same problem, and I don't know what to do. I have been to the doctor and they don't know what the odor is from. I had a colonoscopy last year, and nothing was found, I was diagnosed with IBS. I have Irritable Bowel Syndrom with Constipation. Nothing they gave me really helped, laxatives just cause gas and bloating. I take Colace over the counter and it keeps me going, but every day around 3:30 the smell comes too. Fecal smell. It's horrible, and I am getting really depressed, I don't know what to do. When I get home from work, around 5:30, I have a bowel movement, and the smell usuall goes away by then, most of the time. My problem is from 3:30 til 5:30 every single day. It's so embarrassing, I am work, and I can tell people can smell it, they touch their noses, but they have never said anything to me. It has really hampered my social life, I can't go out after work with friends for happy hour, for fear of smelling aweful. I smoke too, I'm a casual smoker, in the afternoon when I smoke the smell is worse.

There has to be something we can do.
