yes, i agree about the refined carbs. i no longer eat any, ever. i am allergic to gluten anyway, so i gave up all grains except for brown rice. once in awhile i can handle oats. i have'nt eaten any form of Sugar in quite some time and if i ever crash it is through fault of my own because i knowingly choose to eat something that does not agree with me or am trying to add something to my diet. i can't drink milk as it raises my blood sugar. i do not agree with you that milk is a protein, unless it is raw milk which i am looking into. i have read an article from this site stating that the process they put milk thru changes the molecular structure and turns it into a sugar, so i can't drink it. it bothers me terribly. i used real blackstrap molasses under the advice of my first ND. she told me exactly what to buy. i was not eating any refined carbs at that time. The reason i have low blood Sugar is because i have AF as many people with AF also suffer from low blood sugar. Yes, i believe a lifetime of eating refined carbs certainly made my illness worse and will never eat that way again. A great way to fight acidity in the body is by drinking organic unpasteurized apple cider vinegar, which does not bother blood sugar. i just add a bit to my water and it tastes quite good. if you had read my posts as you say, you would know that i am the one who wrote a long one about the release of insulin and how cortisol is connected to that whole process. I am not refuting what you say about insomnia, i just revealed why i have it in my present situation. I see an iridologist who has sufferd from addison's disease for 20 years and totally controls it naturally, no synthetic hormones. she happens to eat meat and is successful with it so i have been blessed by her advice. i guess we all require different things. she also believes in taking adrenal glandular and i know it has helped me alot. leslie
