anemia

a clean body and strong digestion is a great help for anemia, as is eating plenty of grains and dark green leafy veggies. Quinoa has tons of iron, for instance. :)

There can be several pre-cursors to anemia, sometimes it's not iron but folic acid, a B vitamin that is absorbed in the stomach. If the stomach lining is inflamed, it's hard for it to get absorbed.

Your period can stop due to training heavily, so that could be a co-factor, rather than anemia. :) It could also be due to Vit K deficiency, which is very similar to anemia. The usual things help, as do probiotics, since much of Vit K is manufactured by gut flora.

Are you taking a super-green supplement like Perfect Food? That will really help you in ALL your endeavors. :) Just take 2 pills a day if you're eating right. :)
