Re: Chronic Constipation In Toddler

Blueduck, you mixed the information from 2 unrelated Fleet products in an attempt to distort and discredit my response to the message I replied to.

You cited:
"Precautions:
Fleet Enema: Do not administer to children under 2 years of age except on the advice of a physician..."

That is the warning on the box for the hypertonic phospo soda enema, not the mineral Oil Enema I referred to. There is no such warning on the Fleet mineral Oil Enema .

Why did you attempt to confuse the individual I was responding to?

I reject your premise that because a product (mineral oil) is a petroleum product that it is unsafe for a toddler. I also suggested olive oil in an infant bulb syringe which is what I use in my practice to relieve fecal impactions and help ease bm's in people with hardened stools.

I don't understand your motivations???

I would appreciate it if you would explain.

Thank you, Valerie
