Re: Cortizone Injections..Experiences please!

I am not thrilled with this injection. In 1981 I had a Harrington rod/back fusion. But for the last 5 years pain has increased lower lumbar referred pain to hips. The pain is intense. I have tried many things including accupuncture, chiropractic etc.
Believe me I am no wimp when it comes to pain. I started taking Celebrix 200mg in Dec 03, and is the only thing that has helped and I want to get off it. I got my life back with that pain med. I care about my liver so want off the meds. With the pain where it was activities like working and daily living was just about out. It's rather catch 22. I am wondering if they have mercury in these shots? I have looked at the the Injection Forum some. Don't know the answer. Thank you for your thoughts.
