Agreed! That is my religion, in a way.

I would like to say that the tears are more than a good analogy. Rain is the one thing we think of when we think of the Earth "cleansing herself".
When this era of evil is over, when we turn the corner and earth starts to heal instead of getting sicker and sicker and sicker due to human activity, WE WILL SEE RAIN.

It will rain and rain and a rain.
Not to be a flood, but to purify the air, to wash the paticulates out of it like washing our hair;
to purify the soils by stripping the salts away and letting it become nutrient rich later on;
to purify the lakes and rivers with a great washing out;
to purify hearts and minds of her inhabitants too, by creating the melancholic mindset we get during rains.

More ways are on the tip of my tongue, but you get the idea.

Rain, rain, come when you may
... but This is not the right day
It will be when people are free
and the earth is loved by all

We will cry then too, and it will be GOOD!
