Hi Karlin,
I don't agree with a lot of what you believe which is kind of strange for me because usually when I don't agree with people it's because I am more skeptical and negative but in this case I feel like it's the other way round.
I don't agree with you associating the American troops with the Nazis. Things are just all mixed up these days but these kids have valid honest reasons for doing what they are doing alongside all the valid honest reasons against what they are doing. Same goes for Dubya. I don't think when he's alone he rubs his hands together and cackles with hateful laughter. He's trying to do his best for America according to like Texas culture and his own family's history and all these things which are not inherantly bad. As far as talking about when they're coming to boot down your door, that is a big fearful exaggeration on the state of the country.
I don't know I just feel like all the evil results, locally and globally are all mixed in with a soup of good intentions, misunderstandings and stupid cultural differences and noone's good or bad these days it's just everyone a weird mix in opposition to other people, almost always in opposition to ourselves, in so many ways accumulated over the years of a lifetime (or maybe even over lifetimes and lifetimes if you believe in reincarnation). There's no more evil in the world now than there was in the 60s or in 1941 or at any time, but there's just so many more people that the planet keep on withstanding it for many more decades. Or, maybe it will just continue like this forever, surviving, sanitizing our polluted oceans and wells just enough to keep us alive, you know....That's a scenario I can imagine happening, it's the mostly likely scenario if you just look at human history logically. As long as nuclear weapons don't get used we can go on having regular wars for another 2 millians. The ones who work hardest get the best jobs and buy the best toys. Border skirmishes, dirty electioneering, all this good stuff that's been with us for the whole journey, all of that can go on and for many it'll get even more miserable but we'll survive, the tenacious lemurs we are.
One of the basic things it comes down to though, and this relates to what you said about you and me being 'enlightened', is just if we can responding to the pleas of our higher self (or consciounse to misspell a less new agey word). See, like me, maybe I am enlightened, maybe not, but I definitely know I am also 'weak', 'impatient'... other things, but the main thing is 'weak' and I mean that in the sense that I don't act as I think. Do you think righteous, empathetic thoughts? Do you also act on those thoughts? That's way way harder to do consistently. If enought people right now across the world are improving their thinking, their cosciounses, starting to tune in to their higher selves for the first times in their lives, that's what counts, that's the first things that needs to happen. If that's happening then we're right on track and there's no cause for talk of increasing evil and Nazis and this stuff. Just gotta work on acting on the urgings of our higher selves. Be the change you want and if you can't quite do that yet then encourage others to be the change. If nothing else at least Karen is trying to be a beacon of encouragement.
