Re: Disheartened

"how I can get there with a minimum of fuss?!"

I do not wish to dishearten you further, but in my experience the crux of the matter is that poor digestion and constipation are symptoms of an underlying problem. The fact that you are not regular and that "old muck" is building up indicates that either you have some medical condition or that something in your lifestyle does not agree with your physiology. As far as the latter is concerned it could for example be something in your diet that creates an imbalance of sorts, or you may get too little exercise to massage and stimulate the digestive organs, or something entirely different.

What I am getting at is that treating the symptom - i.e. your constipation - will only give you temporary relief at best. To gain long-term improvements you must also diagnose and address the underlying cause, which, I am afraid, requires a fair bit of time and experimentation. However, the fact that you have already decided to change your diet and also experiment with a Bowel Cleanse regimen is in itself an indication that there is indeed a bright light at the end of the tunnel!

Not having your anamnesis and complete story it is impossible to give you any specific recommendations. However, in a few recent posts I have dealt with some common causes of constipation: diet; exercise (or the lack thereof); and improper elimination technique. You can always look them up to get some general ideas to work from.

Best of luck,
