It took me a while to find it, but I an finally here. Must be the blonde in my, I couldn't see the forum.
I agree, children are more easily swayed into a religion, especially if they see it as being supported by someone they respect. You are also correct that there are some basic differences between Protostant and Catholic beliefs, but they are not anything that I find to be severe.
The alternative is to send her to a public school. That really is not an option for where I am at. The school systems here are so lacking (as is the case in many areas) that it would hurt her more in the long run to attend. I talk to my daughter, we discuss most things. I think that if I can explain to her what it is that I believe and emphasise that a spirtitual life is what is important, and not a religious life, that she will understand. I also believe that a catholic school will help insteal discopline and structure. As a single parent, I am sure you understand that sometimes it is very helpful to have an outside force that backs what you try to teach your daughter. :0)
