Regarding endometriosis treatments, there are western medical treatment options in addition to birth control pills. Two main categories are synthetic testosterones and gonadotropic hormone releasing antagonists(GHRAs). Both put you into a chemical menopause-like state. The length of treatment is about 6 months. The idea is that your symptoms will calm down considerably while you are not getting your period. I did not try the first category because I was not interested in risking the irreversible side effects of: voice deepening; facial hair and the very difficult to reverse abdominal weight gain. The GHRAs gave me horrible hot flashes but very slightly decreased my endometrial symptoms.
The non-steriodals often cause fallopian tube scarring that worsens the endometriosis in the long run as the tubes are common implantation sites.
The natural options work far better!
